Dr. Sadikovic is the Scientific and Clinical Director of the Clinical Genome Centre in London Canada where he leads clinical and translational genomics research focused on the genomic and epigenomic biomarker and diagnostic technology development involving a range of neurodevelopmental and oncology disorders. In his clinical role as the Division Head of the Division of Molecular Diagnostics, he oversees the clinical molecular diagnostics laboratories at the London Health Sciences Centre and Saint Joseph’s Healthcare. Dr. Sadikovic is an Associate Professor in the Department of Pathology and Lab Medicine at Western University. He completed his PhD at Western University, followed by the Canadian Cancer Society Postdoctoral Fellowship at the Princess Margaret and SickKids Hospitals, and his clinical training through the ABMG Clinical Molecular Genetics and Clinical Cytogenetics Fellowships at Baylor College of Medicine. His research focuses on the development and clinical implementation of molecular genetics and epigenetic diagnostic technologies. Dr. Sadikovic is the principal investigator leading the research team that invented and developed EpiSign technology, the first clinical genome-wide assay for diagnosis of rare genetic conditions.
Haley coordinates research conducted by the Clinical Genome Centre at London Health Sciences Centre, including the EpiSign-CAN study. Haley completed her Masters at Western University in biochemistry studying chromatin remodeling proteins and their role in brain development. Before joining the Molecular Diagnostics team, Haley coordinated multi-site oncology studies and aided in development of patient registries for large-scale standardized data collection.
Michael’s role in the EpiSign team is the lead bioinformatician. He coordinates the bioinformatics team involved in development of analytical pipelines and biomarker discovery. In his role as a clinical bioinformatician in the Division of Molecular Diagnostics, he also works with the clinical diagnostic team on development and maintenance of the clinical bioinformatic workflows. Michael has a PhD from Western University and has published numerous papers related to genetics, developmental biology, and bioinformatic analysis.
Jen’s role on the EpiSign team includes project coordination and management of the project design and sample processing. She oversees the wet-lab data generation and analysis for molecular genetic assays with specialization in next generation sequencing and methylation arrays, and clinical assay design for validation and implementation. Upon graduation from The Michener Institute, Jen was recognized for achieving the highest GPA of all Advanced Diploma programs and has gone on to receive multiple scholarships and bursaries in support of national and international travel to present her work from the Molecular Genetics laboratory at London Health Sciences Centre.
